Two of Britney Spears<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 ex-husbands are seemingly at odds, as Sam Asghari<\/strong><\/a> appeared to throw shade at Kevin Federline<\/strong> over the latter\u2019s upcoming memoir.<\/p>\n

The<\/em> Traitors<\/em> star, 31, was asked by TMZ<\/em><\/a> on Saturday, August 16, if he had any thoughts on Federline, 47, writing about his marriage to Spears, 43, in his new book, You Thought You Knew<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Kevin] was a professional father, so it would be the first book that would tell you about how to be a professional father,\u201d Asghari replied with a grin.<\/p>\n

Federline hinted on August 6 that his \u201cextremely intimate and transparent\u201d memoir You Thought You Knew<\/em> delves into his two-year marriage to Spears in order to dispel misconceptions. (His autobiography will be released October 21.)<\/p>\n

Spears and Asghari\u00a0began dating in 2016\u00a0after meeting on the set of her \u201cSlumber Party\u201d music video. After going public with their relationship the following year, Asghari has shown his support for Spears time and time again. \u201cSeveral people in Britney\u2019s life were [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Both Federline and Asghari were married to Spears at very different points of her life. The \u201cToxic\u201d singer wed Federline months after she had first marriage to childhood friend, Jason Allen Alexander<\/strong>, annulled in 2004. Federline and Spears welcomed two sons \u2014 Sean Preston, 19, and Jayden James, 18 \u2014 prior to their separation in 2006. (Federline also shares Kori Madison, 23, and Kaleb Michael Jackson, 21, with ex-fianc\u00e9e Shar Jackson<\/strong>. The DJ and rapper and his current wife, Victoria Prince<\/strong>, have two daughters \u2014 Jordan Kay, 14, and Peyton Marie, 11.)<\/p>\n

Asghari was with Spears through the final days of the financial conservatorship that dominated her life for nearly 14 years. The couple got engaged in September 2021 and ultimately exchanged vows at Spears\u2019 home in June 2022.<\/p>\n

Spears\u2019 third marriage lasted just over a year before Asghari filed for divorce in August 2023, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause of the split.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter 6 years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,\u201d he announced via Instagram at the time. \u201cWe will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. S*** happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asghari subsequently claimed on the \u201cTrading Secrets\u201d podcast in June 2025 that he insisted on Spears signing a prenup<\/a> to protect her assets before they tied the knot.<\/p>\n
