Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother Jason dropped arguably the biggest news on the sports calendar to date on Monday when they announced Taylor Swift would be their guest on a special Wednesday night episode of their \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast amid their training camp hiatus.<\/p>\n

Swift had never appeared on a podcast before Wednesday\u2019s \u201cNew Heights,\u201d which drove up anticipation for when the episode went live.<\/p>\n

Among those hyped for Swift\u2019s episode was Indiana Fever guard and noted Swifty Caitlin Clark.<\/p>\n

The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year made headlines last year when she appeared at two of Swift\u2019s \u201cEras Tour\u201d shows at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and again when she joined Swift in her suite at Arrowhead Stadium back in January to support Kelce in Kansas City\u2019s 23-14 win over the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional round of the playoffs.<\/p>\n

So when Clark heard Swift was appearing on \u201cNew Heights\u201d \u2014 a podcast she appeared on herself back in early January \u2014 she chimed in on social media with a specific concern.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre we sure YouTube isn\u2019t going to crash tonight? \ud83d\ude05,\u201d Clark wrote on Wednesday morning<\/a>, to which the official \u201cNew Heights\u201d account replied: \u201cSee you in the live chat! \u2764\ufe0f\u200d\ud83d\udd25.\u201d<\/p>\n

As it turns out, Clark\u2019s apprehension was a valid one as \u201cNew Heights\u201d did have some technical difficulties as the episode was airing live.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hit a glitch but will be back shortly!!!\u201d the show\u2019s X account posted<\/a>, prompting Clark to take a victory lap because the Swifties had, in fact, crashed YouTube.<\/p>\n

\u201cSwifties so powerful we broke the internet,\u201d Clark wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Final numbers aren\u2019t in regarding the number of viewers that tuned in for Wednesday\u2019s show, but as many as 1.5 million viewers were watching live and the \u201cNew Heights\u201d YouTube channel<\/a> lists total viewership at 1.7 million views as of 10 p.m. ET on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
