Travis Kelce Drops Hint on What Fans Can Expect From Taylor Swift\u2019s Upcoming Album<\/a> originally appeared on Athlon Sports<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n Taylor Swift made her podcast debut on Wednesday night when she appeared on the New Heights show, co-hosted by her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason.<\/p>\n The episode, which ran for well over an hour, even crashed at one point with millions of viewers tuned in\u2014a surge some predicted given Swift\u2019s popularity and her announcement of her upcoming album, “The Life of a Showgirl” set to drop on Oct. 3.<\/p>\n This will mark Swift\u2019s 12th studio album and her first release since The Tortured Poets Department in April 2024. According to Kelce, fans should expect a very different sound this time around.<\/p>\n On the podcast, Kelce hinted that he\u2019s already heard some\u2014if not all\u2014of the new music, describing it as a \u201ccomplete 180\u201d from her last album.<\/p>\n “It\u2019s a lot more upbeat. It\u2019s a lot more fun pop. [\u2026] It\u2019s a complete 180 from the songs on \u2018Tortured Poets\u2019 for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n Taylor Swift also revealed during the episode that the album will feature 12 songs, with the only announced collaboration being a track with pop star Sabrina Carpenter.<\/p>\n Swift has largely stayed out of the spotlight for much of 2025. While she did regain ownership of her masters earlier this year\u2014a tremendous milestone in her career\u2014this will mark her first new music release of the year.
