Charisma Carpenter<\/a> finally addressed the Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em><\/a> reboot rumors in a direct message to her fans.<\/p>\n On August 16, the actress behind Cordelia Chase in the beloved series\u00a0took to TikTok<\/a> with a video setting the record straight after constant questioning.<\/p>\n \u201cHey, I get asked this a lot: \u2018Are you doing the reboot?\u2019 And I thought I would address it,\u201d Carpenter said in the video. \u201cI am not\u00a0in the reboot. I am not in the pilot. I don\u2019t even know if the show has been picked up to go to series. I assume it will be.\u201d<\/p>\n Additionally, she clarified that the name of her Buffy<\/em> rewatch podcast, The Bitch Is Back<\/em><\/a>, is not hinting at her return to the franchise, either.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was not intended to sound coded in any kind of way, alluding to the fact that I was admitting to being in the reboot,\u201d she explained \u201cPeople were also then commenting, \u2018Oh is this \u2026 Are you saying?\u2019 like it was an easter egg \u00e0 la Taylor Swift<\/a>. Not at all.\u201d<\/p>\n To conclude the video, Carpenter reiterated, \u201cI have not had a conversation with any of the powers that be to include Cordelia at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n During a July interview with IGN<\/a>, Carpenter weighed in on the Buffy<\/em> revival<\/a>, expressing her desire to play a part.<\/p>\n \u201cI am so excited for fans, and I know it will be fantastic because of who\u2019s involved,\u201d she told the publication. \u201cTo see this actually happen for the fans makes me thrilled. I am so hopeful to be included, for Cordelia to be a part of this new iteration.\u201d<\/p>\n Carpenter starred in the first three seasons of Buffy<\/em> before exiting the show to star in its spinoff Angel<\/em><\/a>. Unfortunately, her character was killed off in Season 5, the final season that aired in 2003.<\/p>\n Considering Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/a> was resurrected twice, Carpenter could feasibly return to the reboot. But as of writing, nothing seems to be in the works.<\/p>\n Confirmed cast members for the Hulu Buffy reboot include Gellar, Ryan Kiera Armstrong<\/a>, Faly Rakotohavana<\/a>, Ava Jean<\/a>, Sarah Bock<\/a>, Daniel Di Tomasso<\/a>, and Jack Cutmore-Scott<\/a>.
