According to <em><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/tv\/14968889\/kelly-clarkson-replaced-the-voice-brandon-blackstock-death\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:The U.S. Sun;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">The U.S. Sun<\/a><\/em>, Clarkson is taking a leave of absence from taping the NBC competition show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><strong>More from SheKnows<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Even though Season 29 won\u2019t air until the fall, Seasons 28 and 29 are being filmed concurrently to cut down on production costs. So, producers are looking at some <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/articles\/dolly-parton-reason-skipping-american-190000101.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Voice veterans;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\"><em>Voice<\/em> veterans<\/a> to step in for Clarkson.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cKelly will not be at the tapings scheduled next week for Thursday and Friday. Cyrus was a key advisor in Season 10 and a coach in Seasons 11 and 13.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Blackstock\u2019s death also impacted the coaches on Season 28 because Reba McEntire is in the cast. She was formerly married to Blackstock\u2019s father, Narvel Blackstock, and even though they divorced in 2015, she still considered him her stepson.
