Sarah Jessica Parker has finally admitted what many fans suspected: Carrie Bradshaw\u2019s closet isn\u2019t just collecting dust. From Sex and the City\u2019s<\/em> debut in 1998 through the finale of And Just Like That<\/em><\/a> earlier this month, Carrie\u2019s clothes have been as central to the story as the breakups and the brunches. And unlike most TV wardrobes, Parker didn\u2019t let them disappear. In a 2021 Vogue <\/em>interview, she revealed: \u201cI had all of the original stuff in my own storage. Furniture, clothes, everything, packed according to season and episode and scene. I kept every single solitary thing.\u201d<\/p>\n That kind of devotion has allowed Carrie\u2019s tutu, Manolos, and nameplate necklace to live on long after the show itself. It also blurs the line between actress and character. As Parker admitted in June, she does share some of Carrie\u2019s affection for fashion, even if hers is \u201cless fevered\u201d than the columnist\u2019s.<\/p>\n Now, with And Just Like That <\/em>closing its run, Parker\u2019s disclosure feels especially poignant.
