Influencer Stacey Tourout<\/strong> reportedly briefly survived the off-roading accident that took the life of fianc\u00e9 Matthew Yeomans<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Mark Jennings-Bates<\/strong>, a manager of the Kaslo Search and Rescue (SAR) team, told People<\/em><\/a> on Friday, August 15, that Tourout was still conscious when the team arrived at the scene<\/a> of the incident.<\/p>\n

Jennings-Bates, however, noted that Tourout suffered a \u201csevere head injury,\u201d adding that \u201cshe didn\u2019t realize quite how injured she was.\u201d She was lifted from the area by helicopter and transferred to an ambulance that took her to a local hospital. Tourout died later that night.<\/p>\n

Yeomans, meanwhile, had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Jennings-Bates confirmed to People<\/em> that Yeomans had \u201cno vital signs\u201d when the rescue team found his body.<\/p>\n

Mark Jennings-Bates, a manager of the Kaslo Search and Rescue (SAR) team, told Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) that the couple fell downhill about 200 meters, which is roughly 656 feet. He claimed that Tourout and Yeomans [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jennings-Bates called the area where the YouTube couple crashed a \u201cbackcountry trail\u201d with \u201cpretty rough\u201d terrain. He noted that the vehicle fell roughly 200 meters (around 656 feet) down a \u201csteep boulder field.\u201d Tourout allegedly remained in the vehicle until it came to a stop.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom what I understand, it\u2019s one of the few patches of the road that doesn\u2019t have a forest on the side,\u201d Jennings-Bates told the outlet. \u201cSo anywhere else, they would\u2019ve been caught by the trees \u2014 they would\u2019ve maybe gotten a bit hurt. But this is the one area where they were gonna go for a big ride if they did go off the side road.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple\u2019s family announced their deaths<\/a> on August 11, sharing a photo of Tourout and Yeomans smiling while standing in front of a mountain.<\/p>\n
