During Taylor Swift\u2019s nearly two-hour appearance on Travis and Jason Kelce\u2019s \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast, she revealed a lot about her life in the past few years, and details about her new album, The Life of a Showgirl<\/em><\/a>. What caught our attention, however, was when she discussed meeting Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte backstage at the Eras Tour<\/a> in London last summer.<\/p>\n

As the Kelces and Swift discussed the time Travis appeared on stage with her, Swift said, \u201cWasn\u2019t this the week I got to watch Jason meet the royal family?\u201d continuing, \u201cI knew you were serious when I was like, \u2018Jason, do you wanna go meet\u2026\u2019\u201d and Travis chimes in, \u201cHe was like, \u2018What do I do with my beer?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift then continues, pretending to hold a beer can, \u201cI watched him have this moment with his beer where he was like, \u2018But I want to take it, but I know that I probably should not take it,\u2019 I watched this happen, and it kind of was the most amazing\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason replies, \u201cI like that you picked up on it because that was exactly what was going through my head\u2026 Is it disrespectful to have a beer when you meet royalty?\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift adds, pretending to voice Jason\u2019s thoughts, \u201cOr am I just being authentic by having a beer? I would normally have the beer, wouldn\u2019t they want me to be myself?\u201d She continues, telling Jason, \u201cI\u2019m watching you say that in your head, and it was fantastic. I don\u2019t know, I\u2019ll always remember that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in June 2024, shortly after the meeting happened, the Kelces discussed the moment on their podcast<\/a>. \u201cI got to meet Prince William!\u201d Travis said. \u201cDude, he was the coolest motherf*cker\u2014he was so cool.\u201d Jason added, \u201cDude, he was so awesome. He’s a good dude.\u201d<\/p>\n

Travis said Prince William \u201cwas there with little George, and Charlotte. They were an absolute delight to meet. Wasn\u2019t sure if I was supposed to bow to them, curtsy, just be an American idiot and shake their hands, like, \u2018Sup, dude.\u2019\u201d Jason conintues, \u201cWe did get warning, because honestly we didn\u2019t know the actual [protocol]\u2014but because we weren\u2019t at an official royal event, we didn\u2019t have to bow or curtsy. If it would\u2019ve been an official meeting of royalty event, it would\u2019ve been that. But still address him as \u2018Your Royal Highness.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Travis says to his brother, \u201cI\u2019ve never seen you give someone that much respect. You put your beer, like, ten feet away from you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Princess Charlotte was the favorite member of the royal family that the Kelces met, they said on their podcast. \u201cI gotta say, Prince William was fantastic, but the highlight was Princess Charlotte. Prince George was great too,\u201d Jason said at the time. Charlotte \u201cwas so f*cking adorable. I cannot express how\u2014maybe because I have three girls now, [but] she had a fire to her! She was asking questions. That was the most electric part.\u201d Travis agreed with Jason, saying Princess Charlotte \u201cwas a superstar!\u201d<\/p>\n
