A number of exciting women are visiting Nevermore Academy when Wednesday<\/em> Season 2 returns to Netflix for Part 2 on Sept. 3, from the return of Principal Weems (Gwendoline Christie) as Wednesday\u2019s new spirit guide to the arrival of Lady Gaga in a not-yet-officially disclosed role.<\/p>\n But those aren\u2019t the women we want to talk about right now. No, we\u2019re more concerned with a particular Frump family member \u2014 a character referenced multiple times per episode, yet someone to whom we haven\u2019t been properly introduced. That\u2019s right, we\u2019re talking about Morticia\u2019s estranged sister Ophelia, frequently mentioned as a cautionary tale for the dangers of becoming consumed by one\u2019s powers.<\/p>\n More from TVLine<\/strong><\/p>\n During Wednesday\u2019s visit to Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital in the midseason finale, she and Uncle Fester stumbled upon an entire wing of patients who had reportedly died, including one woman (played by Mr Selfridge<\/em>\u2018s Frances O\u2019Connor) we can\u2019t help but assume is none other than the elusive Ophelia. \u201cAre you here to kill me?\u201d the woman asked when Wednesday and Fester approached her cell. When they said no, she replied, \u201cThen leave me alone.\u201d<\/p>\n Unfortunately, our assumption will have to remain a theory until Wednesday<\/em> returns, because the co-showrunners\u2019 lips are sealed. \u201cWe can\u2019t, you have to keep watching,\u201d Alfred Gough told TVLine when asked if he could confirm that O\u2019Connor is playing Ophelia. Echoed Miles Millar, \u201cWe need a reason for you to keep watching Part 2.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s worth noting that an official still from Episode 4 identifies O\u2019Connor as \u201cFrancoise,\u201d but that\u2019s very possibly a misdirect meant to throw us off Ophelia\u2019s trail.<\/p>\n Hypothetically, if Ophelia were <\/em>to officially enter the picture in Part 2, Millar acknowledged that \u201cthere\u2019s a lot to explore there [about] a missing member of the family.\u201d He invites viewers to \u201cimagine the four of them together,\u201d referring to Wednesday, Morticia, Ophelia and Grandmama (Joanna Lumley). \u201cThat would be really interesting.
