And though \u201cstreaming changes the pipeline\u201d through which series are delivered into homes and minds, he said, \u201cthe connection, the talent, the ideas that come into our homes, I think it\u2019s as potent as ever.\u201d<\/p>\n The late night host pointed to the audience as proof positive, and cited series like \u201cSeverance\u201d and \u201cAndor\u201d to support his point. The reality of TV in 2025 is that \u201cit\u2019s all electrifying a new generation of viewers.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYes, late night television as we have known it since around 1950 is doing to disappear,\u201d O\u2019Brien admitted, \u201cbut those voices aren\u2019t going anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n Colbert announced the end of his late show in mid-July.
