Drake Bell<\/strong><\/a> is proceeding with his divorce from estranged wife Janet Von Schmeling<\/strong>, two years after she initially filed<\/a> for divorce.<\/p>\n

TMZ<\/a> and Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a> report that Bell, 39, filed for divorce in Seminole County, Florida, on Thursday, August 14.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe process began back in 2023 when his wife filed citing irreconcilable differences,\u201d Bell\u2019s manager, Juan Jos\u00e9 Rovirosa<\/strong>, told Entertainment Weekly<\/em> in a statement. \u201cAt this stage, both of them are simply concluding that legal process. Their priority remains the safety and wellbeing of their son, and they are doing so from a place of love and respect \u2014 closing a beautiful chapter of their lives that now evolves into a different form of love and complicity, always centered on their child\u2019s best interests.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, Mr. Bell and his wife would like privacy as they transition into this new phase of their life,\u201d the actor\u2019s attorney, Brittany Staggs<\/strong>, added to TMZ.<\/p>\n

Two months after first sparking split rumors, Jessica Simpson announced that she and Eric Johnson had called it quits after 10 years of marriage. \u201cEric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,\u201d she told Us Weekly in a January 13 [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Von Schmeling filed for divorce from the Nickelodeon alum in April 2023 after four years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. She said the couple had been separated since September 2022. The filing came just days after Bell was declared missing and later found<\/a> by police in Daytona Beach, Florida.<\/p>\n

At the time, Von Schmeling sought primary legal and physical custody of the couple\u2019s son, Wyatt, 4, per court documents obtained by TMZ, but requested that Bell retain visitation rights.<\/p>\n

Von Schmeling also sought spousal support in her filing.<\/p>\n

Bell tied the knot with Von Schmeling in 2018, however, he didn\u2019t announce the marriage \u2014 nor the arrival of son Wyatt \u2014 until June 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn response to various rumors that are incorrect, I have been married for almost 3 years, and we are blessed to be the parents of a wonderful son. Thank you very much to all my fans around the world for your good wishes,\u201d Bell shared in an X<\/a> post.<\/p>\n

In February, Von Schmeling revealed via Instagram<\/a> that she is expecting her second child with current partner Jim Perez<\/strong>. \u201cOur Rainbow Baby \ud83c\udf08 September cannot come sooner \u2764\ufe0f,\u201d she wrote alongside a copy of an ultrasound scan.<\/p>\n
