Charles Barsamian<\/a> has joined Entertainment Law Partners (ELP) as Managing Partner.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\tBarsamian will lead the firm\u2019s newly launched New York City office. He joins\u00a0Tifanie J. Acosta and Michael Roban as a named partner.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe company has said Barsamian will also spearhead the development of a dedicated music division, representing music publishers, catalogs, record labels, and sync alongside composers, producers, artists, and music supervisors.<\/p>\n
\n\tA vet of the indie production scene, Barsamian is an Executive Producer and served as Production Counsel on several titles debuting this fall, including Derek Cianfrance\u2019s Roofman<\/em>, a TIFF premiere distributed by Paramount Pictures; Julian Schnabel\u2019s In the Hand of Dante<\/em>, set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival; and Mubi\u2019s Lurker. <\/em>He was a co-producer on Nick Pizzolato\u2019s Easy\u2019s Waltz<\/em>, also set to debut at TIFF.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\tBarsamian most recently led his own firm, the Charles M. Barsamian Law Firm of New York, PLLC, and served as Production Counsel on Sean Baker\u2019s Anora<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\tFounded in 2007 by Tifanie J. Acosta, Entertainment Law Partners reps domestic and international corporate and entertainment clients, including IP funds, producers, directors, actors, financiers, distributors, and writers.<\/p>\n
\n\tAcosta and Roban have recently served as production legal, finance legal, and co-executive producers on Gus Van Sant\u2019s Dead Man\u2019s Wire<\/em>, starring Al Pacino, Colman Domingo, Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd, and Dacre Montgomery, which will have its world premiere at Venice.
