\u201cVirgin\u201d \u2013 Lorde<\/strong><\/p>\n After Charli XCX hinted during her 2025 Coachella set that many artists would be releasing new music this summer, fans were excited to hear about Lorde\u2019s new album \u201cVirgin.\u201d Following the release of her 2021 album, \u201cSolar Power,\u201d \u201cVirgin\u201d was highly anticipated and did not disappoint. Following the solo release of the track \u201cWhat Was That,\u201d fans eagerly awaited the rest of the record.<\/p>\n In an interview with Apple Music\u2019s Zane Lowe, Lorde said this album is \u201cKind of like a photo of yourself that you don\u2019t love but captures something true about you.\u201d Honest and vulnerable as ever, Lorde has created a relatable album for many.<\/p>\n \u201cSWAG\u201d \u2013 Justin Bieber<\/strong><\/p>\n A day before the secret release of Justin Bieber\u2019s new album, \u201cSWAG,\u201d various billboards popped up alluding to the album. Since the debut of his previous album, \u201cJustice,\u201d a lot has changed for Bieber.<\/p>\n Receiving a 7.3 from Pitchfork, \u201cSWAG\u201d is described by author Rawiya Kameir as \u201cwarm, blissful, and a little out of touch.\u201d \u201cSWAG,\u201d is a unique collection of songs that speaks to Bieber\u2019s current place in life, and that comes across strongly in his lyricism.<\/p>\n \u201cDON\u2019T TAP THE GLASS\u201d \u2013 Tyler, The Creator<\/strong><\/p>\n Following the release of Tyler, the Creator\u2019s 2024 album \u201cCHROMAKOPIA,\u201d fans were shocked by the semi-surprise release of his new album, \u201cDON\u2019T TAP THE GLASS.\u201d The record has a lot of fun playing with dream-like back-tracks and production, tying into a lot of similar sounds from Tyler, the Creator in past albums.<\/p>\n As his second album in less than a year, \u201cDON\u2019T TAP THE GLASS\u201d is clearly less powerful than the previous record, \u201cCHROMAKOPIA.\u201d However, the album is a strong medley of music and clearly possesses high production quality.<\/p>\n \u201cSnipe Hunter\u201d \u2013 Tyler Childers<\/strong><\/p>\n Tyler Childers\u2019s new country album, \u201cSnipe Hunter,\u201d is nothing short of perfect for the summer season. The stand-out tracks being \u201cOneida,\u201d \u201cEatin\u2019 Big Time, \u201cBitin\u2019 List\u201d and \u201cNose on the Grindstone,\u201d Childers sings about themes he\u2019s never sung about before.<\/p>\n Millan Verma, a writer with Pitchfork, said \u201c[Childers] may be the first person with a Kentucky drawl to sing about dharma, rolling \u2018like the Pandavas\u2019 with his brothers, and bringing his wife and mother to a nirvana-like oasis where they sing Hare Krishna and West Virginia fiddle standards alike.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPrecipice\u201d \u2013 Indigo de Souza<\/strong><\/p>\n Indigo de Souza\u2019s new record, \u201cPrecipice,\u201d is a great addition to the summer music scene. As her fourth album, \u201cPrecipice\u201d uses unique percussion, synth and vocals to create a well-rounded indie rock album.<\/p>\n Receiving a lower score of 6.6 from Pitchfork, Grace Robins-Somerville said, \u201cWith a shift toward cleaned-up synth-pop, the singer-songwriter\u2019s fourth studio album leaves her standout vocal performances feeling less distinct.\u201d However, the shift away from a vocal concentration is a nice change of pace for De Souza and makes this record feel more cohesive and multifaceted.<\/p>\n \u201cBite Me\u201d \u2013 Renee Rapp<\/strong><\/p>\n Known for her authentic personality, Rene\u00e9 Rapp does not hold back in her new album, \u201cBite Me.\u201d This album follows her debut album \u201cSnow Angel,\u201d from 2023 and after her starring role as Regina George in the 2024 film \u201cMean Girls,\u201d she has returned to the pop world.<\/p>\n Lyrics like \u201csigned a hundred NDAs but I still say something,\u201d from the track \u201cLeave me Alone\u201d really add to the spirit of the album. Choosing such a bold song as the opening track sets the theme of the album effectively. Rapp has never held back in the lyricism of her songs, and \u201cBite Me\u201d is no deviation from her daring songwriting.<\/p>\n Upcoming Releases<\/strong><\/p>\n Many albums and singles are set to release later this season with big names such as Sabrina Carpenter releasing her second studio album, \u201cMan\u2019s Best Friend,\u201d on Aug. 29, 2025.
