The final episode of the series aired on HBO Max on August 14, marking the end of a three-season run that, let\u2019s be real, sparked a lot of conversation<\/a>. Whether it was the cast shakeups<\/a>, awkward plotlines<\/a> or the show\u2019s tendency to go viral for the wrong reasons\u2014love it or hate-watch it\u2014it undeniably became part of the pop culture conversation, much like its predecessor, Sex and the City<\/a>. Now, Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a> is weighing in on some of the more vocal critiques of the series\u2014and she\u2019s not losing sleep over them.<\/p>\n In a new interview with The New York Times<\/a>, Parker was asked directly: “When And Just Like That\u2026 debuted, it became a sensation. It was also frequently described as a hate watch. Do you understand why?”<\/p>\n Craig Blankenhorn\/HBO Max<\/p>\n Her\u00a0three-word\u00a0response?\u00a0“I don’t care.”\u00a0(Basically: not her problem.)<\/p>\n “I don\u2019t think I have the constitution to have spent a lot of time thinking about that,” she said. “We always worked incredibly hard to tell stories that were interesting or real.” And then she added the mic-drop moment: “I guess I don\u2019t really care.”<\/p>\n “The reason I don\u2019t care is because it has been so enormously successful, and the connections it has made with audiences have been very meaningful,” she added.<\/p>\n Fair enough.<\/p>\n The series finale comes just two weeks after it was announced that season three would be the show’s last. Both SJP and showrunner Michael Patrick King said they felt the story had reached a natural end.<\/p>\n “Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all,” Parker wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post. “I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her. The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion.”<\/p>\n She continued, “MPK and I together recognized, as we have in the past, this chapter complete\u2026 AJLT was all joy, adventure, the greatest kind of hard work alongside the most extraordinary talent of 380 that includes all the brilliant actors who joined us. I am better for every single day I spent with you.”<\/p>\n “It will be forever before I forget. The whole thing.
