Deftones<\/a> have teamed up with Pitchblack Playback to host listening parties for the band\u2019s new album Private Music<\/a><\/em> this week in select cities.<\/p>\n

The events will take place across three days in major cities around the world: August 19th (Amsterdam and Mexico City); August 20th (Los Angeles, London, Melbourne, New York City, Sydney, Toronto, and Vancouver); and August 21st (Berlin and Paris). Limited tickets are available via Pitchblack Playback<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fans will be able to experience the new album for the first time over a \u201cpremiere sound system\u201d in a darkened room \u201cwith no distractions,\u201d as stated in a Deftones newsletter. Pitchblack Playback has hosted similar immersive listening experiences around the world since 2016, presenting classic albums and new releases in sensory-deprivation type environments.<\/p>\n

Those who can\u2019t make it to the aforementioned cities will only have to wait a little longer to hear the new record, which drops Friday (August 22nd). The album was recorded with producer Nick Raskulinecz in Malibu and Joshua Tree, as well as Nashville, Tennessee.<\/p>\n

To support the LP, Deftones are launching their North American tour<\/a> on release day. The summer trek kicks off in Vancouver and runs through a September 19th show in Atlanta (get tickets here<\/a>).<\/p>\n
