Former royal butler Grant Harrold<\/strong> is confused by Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s ongoing feelings about King Charles III<\/strong>, Prince William<\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n

Harrold, 47, detailed his seven years as the butler for Charles and his family in the upcoming book The Royal Butler: My Remarkable Life of Royal Service<\/em>. The Telegraph<\/em> <\/a>published details from the upcoming memoir on Monday, August 18 \u00ad\u2014 including Harrold\u2019s take on Harry\u2019s relationship with William, Charles and Queen Camilla<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe four of them, I promise you, got on so well,\u201d Harrold claimed. \u201cAnd that\u2019s why I don\u2019t understand what Harry\u2019s said, I really don\u2019t understand.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI saw them having dinners together, I saw them having drinks together, I saw them going to parties together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tA \u201ctrust issue\u201d between King Charles III and Prince Harry might be the reason their royal family feud continues. Royal biographer Robert Hardman \u2014 author of Charles III: New King, New Court \u2014 said the rift won\u2019t be healed \u201canytime soon\u201d while speaking at the Hay Festival in Wales on Monday, May 27. He credited [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Harrold recalled there being \u201cno animosity\u201d between Harry and his immediate family during his time as their butler.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe king used to do things to make them laugh and giggle,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Harry and wife Meghan Markle<\/strong> parted ways with the royals in 2020 and relocated to California. The couple later spoke out in a tell-all CBS interview in 2021 and Harry detailed their family struggles in his 2023 book, Spare.<\/p>\n

More recently, Harry publicly discussed his family\u2019s rift in a bombshell BBC interview<\/a> earlier this year, after losing his appeal for government-funded security<\/a> in the U.K. Since Harry and Meghan moved to the United States, their security measures in the Duke of Sussex\u2019s home country have been determined on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point,\u201d Harry said at the time. \u201cI love my country, I always have done, despite what some people in that country have done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prince Harry has kept details about his father, Prince Charles, relatively to himself through the years, but after his and wife Meghan Markle\u2019s exit in 2020, the Duke of Sussex got real about tension with his dad. Over the years, Harry publicly applauded Charles for his parenting skills [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

During the same interview, Harry alluded to Charles\u2019 cancer diagnosis, which was revealed in January 2024. Harry also claimed that his father \u201cwon\u2019t speak to me\u201d and alluded that Charles had something to do with him losing<\/a> the appeal.<\/p>\n
