Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones<\/a> is opening up about the four homes she shares with husband Michael Douglas<\/a> and why she doesn\u2019t view them as excessive.<\/p>\n \u201cI know it sounds very jet set, and I love to surround myself with beauty, but it\u2019s not excessive, it\u2019s very comfortable,\u201d Zeta-Jones said to The Sunday Times.<\/p>\n The 55-year-old star revealed that she and Douglas<\/a>, 80, own four properties together, including one in Canada, one in Spain, and two in New York<\/a>.<\/p>\n Among their homes, the couple\u2019s Spanish property, a sprawling Mallorca estate called S\u2019Estaca, has been one of their most high-profile properties.<\/p>\n Douglas purchased it with Luker in 1990 for $3.5 million. When they divorced in 2000, the former couple shared the house under an arrangement Douglas later described as difficult. \u201cIt was very uncomfortable to share the house of S\u2019Estaca with my ex-wife, Diandra. Six months each was not a pleasant thing for anyone,\u201d he told local outlet Ultima Hora in 2021.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n After years of co-ownership, Douglas<\/a> and Zeta-Jones now fully own the home, which was briefly put on the market in 2019 but never sold. \u201cNow that everything is arranged and that the house is one hundred percent ours, Catherine\u2019s and mine, I can say that I never wanted to leave,\u201d Douglas said at the time.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cMy children will continue to come, and my grandchildren and their children. I am sure that for generations this island will be theirs. This house belongs to my family, and it will continue to be. Cameron, Dyla,n and Carys love it.
