Taylor Swift fans are embracing their inner Sherlock Holmes and debunking parts of her new album cover.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last week, Swift<\/a> set the internet on fire after announcing the news of her 12th studio album<\/a>, The Life of A Showgirl.<\/em><\/p>\n

The news came during Swift\u2019s appearance on the New Heights <\/em>podcast, hosted by her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce<\/a> and his brother Jason, who formerly played for the Philadelphia Eagles.<\/p>\n

Unveiling a copy of the new record, the singer said: “This is my new album, The Life Of A Showgirl.<\/em> It\u2019s something I was working on while I was in Europe on the Eras tour.”<\/p>\n

Swift went on to tease that the upcoming record was ‘a lot more upbeat’ than 2024\u2019s The Tortured Poets Department.<\/em><\/p>\n

While on New Heights, <\/em>Swift also debuted her upcoming album’s artwork, in which she is seen in a sparkly, showgirl-like bodice and is partially submerged in water.<\/p>\n

Around her reads the title of her new record \u2014 which will be released on October 3 \u2014 in an orange, glittery font.<\/p>\n

Well, music<\/a> fans think that the title of the album and its orange typography is a swipe at Kanye West<\/a>; someone she’s had a feud with for the best part of two decades.<\/p>\n

In 2016, West released his album The Life of Pablo, <\/em>which featured tracks like ‘Ultralight Beam’, ’30 Hours’, and ‘Real Friends’.<\/p>\n

Arguably the best known song on the record is ‘Famous’ which became, well, famous, for its controversial music video and lyrics that mentioned Swift.<\/p>\n

The line in question goes: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? Because I made that b*tch famous,” which is in seeming reference to the rapper interrupting Swift’s MTV Music Video Award win in 2009.<\/p>\n

Kanye West and Taylor Swift’s feud dates all the way back to 2009, when he interrupted her winning speech (Kevin Mazur\/WireImage)<\/cite><\/div>\n

West alleged that Swift approved of the lyrics, but the ‘Cardigan’ hitmaker has always denied this.<\/p>\n

Now, Swift’s followers think The Life Of A Showgirl <\/em>is mimicking West’s 2016 record title.<\/p>\n

In regards to the orange font used on the cover, others have suggested that this is also linked to The Life of Pablo <\/em>because the rapper’s cover was on a bright orange background.<\/p>\n

Noting the similarities (the album titles in particular), someone penned on Twitter<\/a>: “Taylor naming her album \u2018The Life Of A Showgirl\u2019<\/em> to show up before Kanye\u2019s \u2018The Life Of Pablo\u2019 <\/em>in search results\u2026 her mind.”<\/p>\n

Echoing similar sentiments, another said: “Taylor Swift doesn\u2019t do anything by accident. It\u2019s probably not a coincidence her album shows up in searches before Kanye\u2019s Life of Pablo<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

“Not Taylor releasing an orange aesthetic album titled the life of a showgirl when Kanye has an orange aesthetic album titled The Life of Pablo,<\/em>” added a third.<\/p>\n

A different person argued: “You cant tell me that Taylor Swift’s new album is not inspired by Ye. Same colour scheme and same name format of The Life of Pablo<\/em>.”<\/p>\n
