Kate has accused Vice President Grace Penn (<strong>Allison Janney<\/strong>) of being behind a terrorist attack, admitted she wants the job for herself, and now the president (<strong>Michael McKean<\/strong>) is dead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">That twist leaves Penn unexpectedly stepping into the presidency. In the trailer, viewers get a glimpse of Penn being sworn in, while Kate confides to her husband, Hal (<strong>Rufus Sewell<\/strong>), \u201cA terribly flawed woman is now president. And only we know just how flawed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">And Hal, it turns out, may have inadvertently caused the president\u2019s death. Alongside that, she\u2019s still entangled in a complicated relationship with U.K. Foreign Secretary Austin Dennison (<strong>David Gyasi<\/strong>) and managing tensions with the newly introduced first gentleman, Todd Penn (<strong>Bradley Whitford<\/strong>)<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"mb-4 text-lg font-bold\">The cast and creatives<\/h3>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">All the key cast members will be back for Season 3: Russell, Sewell, Janney, Gyasi, <strong>Ali Ahn<\/strong>, <strong>Rory Kinnear<\/strong>, <strong>Ato Essandoh<\/strong>, <strong>Nana Mensah<\/strong>, <strong>Miguel Sandoval<\/strong>. Despite perishing in the final episode, McKean is listed on the cast list.
