Apple Original Films has added to its upcoming movie release slate The Dink<\/em>, a pickleball comedy from director Josh Greenbaum, Ben Stiller\u2019s Red Hour Films and Rivulet Films.<\/p>\n The sports comedy stars Jake Johnson as a washed-up tennis pro convinced to stoop to play pickleball to save a struggling club and earn his father\u2019s respect. He appears alongside Mary Steenburgen, Ed Harris, Chloe Fineman, Aaron Chen, Patton Oswalt, Chris Parnell and Christine Taylor. Stiller and\u00a0former pro tennis players Andy Roddick\u00a0and John McEnroe will have supporting roles.<\/p>\n More from The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n The Dink<\/em>, which is now in post-production, reteams Apple and Stiller after the Emmy-nominated success of Severance<\/em>. Greenbaum is directing the comedy\u00a0from an original screenplay by Sean Clements.<\/p>\n Greenbaum is known for such features as\u00a0Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar<\/em>,\u00a0Strays<\/em>\u00a0and the documentary\u00a0Will & Harper<\/em>. The Dink<\/em> is produced by Stiller and John Lesher for Red Hour Films and Rob Paris and Mike Witherill for Rivulet\u00a0Entertainment, which is financing the picture. Jake Johnson will also produce. <\/p>\n The Dink<\/em> is written by Sean Clements and executive produced by Rick Steele, Clements, Greenbaum, Joe Hardesty, Jonathan McCoy and Daniel Crosser.
