Theatrical and Netflix<\/a> streaming release dates for Guillermo del Toro<\/a>\u2019s Frankenstein<\/a> have been announced.<\/p>\n Frankenstein is a forthcoming science fiction film written and directed by Guillermo del Toro. Based on Mary Shelley\u2019s iconic novel published in 1818, the film stars Oscar Isaac<\/a> as Victor Frankenstein, Jacob Elordi<\/a> as Frankenstein\u2019s monster, and more.<\/p>\n Per The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, it has been announced that Guillermo del Toro\u2019s Frankenstein will receive a limited theatrical release in the United States on October 17, 2027. Production on the project began in February 2024 and then wrapped the following September.<\/p>\n Del Toro recently told Netflix Tudum<\/a>, \u201cThe most important figure from English legacy is,\u00a0incredibly, for me, a teenager by the name of Mary\u00a0Shelley, and she has remained a figure as important in\u00a0my life as if she were\u00a0family.
