The track was produced by <strong>Brett Gurewitz<\/strong>\u00a0and draws influence from\u00a0<strong>THE SMITHS<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>100 GECS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the single, vocalist\/guitarist\u00a0<strong>Barry Johnson<\/strong> explains, <em>\u201cthe first line I came up with for this song was \u2018lord above in a Tecate truck\u2019 after passing a Tecate delivery truck with Jesus shit all over it on the freeway driving back to Long Beach after a show in Fresno. While searching for a line that rhymed with \u2018lord above in a Tecate truck\u2019 I came up with \u2018why even exist? Who gives a fuck!?\u2019 and the concept of <strong>All My Friends Are So Depressed<\/strong>\u00a0was born. It\u2019s kind of my take on what I imagine <b>LANA DEL REY<\/b>\u00a0lyrics are like. Instead of icy, detached cool 50\u2019s Americana, it\u2019s all dirty shag carpet, bong rips<strong>, Peter Frampton Comes Alive<\/strong>, key lime pie and suicidal ideations. My flow was inspired by <strong>100<\/strong> <b>GECS <\/b>who I was listening to a concerning amount in 2023 (Much respect to <strong>Dylan<\/strong> and <strong>Laura<\/strong>, please take us on tour).
