\n\tAnne Burrell<\/a>, a Food Network<\/a> star, host of Worst Cooks in America, and celebrity chef has died. She was 55.<\/p>\n \n\tBurrell died at her home in New York this morning, her family confirmed.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cAnne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend \u2014 her smile lit up every room she entered. Anne\u2019s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal,\u201d Burrell\u2019s family said in a statement to Deadline.<\/p>\n \n\tBurrell was best known as one of the stars of the Food Network, recognized by viewers for her trademark spiky blonde hair and spunky personality.<\/p>\n \n\tA spokesperson from Food Network added, \u201cAnne was a remarkable person and culinary talent \u2013 teaching, competing and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that a delicious meal can bring. Our thoughts are with Anne\u2019s family, friends and fans during this time of tremendous loss.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBurrell began her television career as a sous chef on Iron Chef America. She would then graduate to host her own show, Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, for nine seasons. Other shows Burrell starred in included Chef Wanted, Chopped and Food Network Star. Her most recent stint at the network was on House of Knives, which premiered in March.<\/p>\n \n\tBurrell married her husband on October 16th, 2021.
