Former Royal Butler Doesn\u2019t Understand Prince Harry\u2019s Issues With Family<\/a> originally appeared on Parade<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n Former royal butler Grant Harrold<\/strong> is spilling the tea in his new book, The Royal Butler: My Remarkable Life of Royal Service<\/em>, and explained why he doesn’t understand Prince Harry<\/strong>‘s rift with the rest of the royal family.<\/p>\n In the book, Harrold, 47, detailed his seven years working as the butler for King Charles<\/strong> and his family. One topic he touched on is Harry\u2019s relationship with his Charles, 76, his stepmother, Queen Camilla<\/strong>, and his brother, Prince William<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe four of them, I promise you, got on so well,\u201d Harrold claimed in the book, which was shared in an excerpt by The Telegraph<\/a><\/em> on Monday, August 18. \u201cAnd that\u2019s why I don\u2019t understand what Harry\u2019s said, I really don\u2019t understand.\u201d<\/p>\n He added, \u201cI saw them having dinners together, I saw them having drinks together, I saw them going to parties together.\u201d<\/p>\n Harrold also said that there was \u201cno animosity\u201d between Harry, 40, and his immediate family members when he worked as their butler. \u201cThe king used to do things<\/a> to make them laugh and giggle,\u201d he recalled.<\/p>\n Harry’s rift with his family became known when he and and his wife, Meghan Markle<\/strong>, stepped down from their royal duties in 2020 and moved to California. The couple went on to discuss their family troubles in a tell-all CBS interview in 2021 with Oprah Winfrey<\/strong>, as well as in Harry’s 2023 book, Spare<\/em>.<\/p>\n Harry claimed in his memoir that he and William, 43, had a physical altercation in 2019. This could be the thing that pushes it to happen,\u201d the insider said.<\/p>\n
