Florence + The Machine<\/a> have officially announced a new album titled \u2018Everybody Scream\u2019. Check out the details below.<\/p>\n The band took to social media to confirm the upcoming release earlier today (August 19) \u2013 dropping a photo of the album cover and confirming both the title and release date. \u201cFlorence and the Machine, Everybody Scream, The new album, This Halloween,\u201d the caption read.<\/p>\n On the cover, singer Florence Welch<\/a> is seen through a fisheye lens, surrounded by wooden walls and sitting casually wearing a black and white outfit. New pre-order links<\/a> have gone live on the band\u2019s website too, revealing that the album will be shared on October 31 and will come in various formats.<\/p>\n Aside from the original tracklist \u2013 containing 12 songs \u2013 being available on cassette, CD and vinyl, there will also be \u2018Chamber Versions\u2019 of the latter two, which contain four bonus tracks and an alternate cover.<\/p>\n There will also be a \u201cBloodwood Edition\u201d of the cassette, which features different album artwork, and various bundles on offer too. Visit here<\/a> to browse the options and to pre-order the album.<\/p>\n Speculation about Welch and co. releasing their sixth studio album got momentum last month, when the singer shared a post which hinted that music was on the way<\/a>.<\/p>\n One of the photos included a whiteboard that contained the message \u201cYou can have it all,\u201d before listing off \u201cClarity, power, purpose, vocals, space, dynamics and beauty\u201d.<\/p>\n It also made a cryptic nod to Adele<\/a>, with \u201cSwans vs Adele\u201d written in capital letters underneath, and one of the photos included showed Welch writing music with IDLES<\/a>\u2018 guitarist Mark Bowen, suggesting he will be involved in the LP.\u00a0 The latter has since gone on to drop numerous hints at a Florence collab on his social media pages, including various posts on Instagram Stories about the new music on the way.<\/p>\n Welch also hinted at the Halloween release in the post too, dropping mentions of \u201cWitchcraft, folk horror, mysticism, magic, poetry [and] insanity,\u201d as well as a photograph of Simon Critchley\u2019s 2024 book, On Mysticism<\/em>.<\/p>\n The new album will be the band\u2019s first since the 2022 album \u2018Dance Fever<\/a>\u2019. It will also come shortly after the band celebrated the 10th anniversary of their third album <\/a>\u2018How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful\u2019<\/a>, earlier this year.<\/p>\n That record marked the follow-up to 2009\u2019s breakthrough \u2018Lungs\u2019<\/a> and 2011\u2019s sophomore release \u2018Ceremonials\u2019<\/a>, and also became their first US chart-topper. Since then, they have released 2018\u2019s\u00a0 \u2018High As Hope\u2019<\/a> too.<\/p>\n While a new album hasn\u2019t arrived since 2022, last year did see the band celebrate 15 years of their debut album by playing a one-off orchestral show at London\u2019s historic Royal Albert Hall<\/a>. It was held as part of BBC Proms 2024, and was then captured on a live album<\/a> called \u2018Symphony Of Lungs\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
