Now, they are shining a light on prison labor \u2014 and the fate of those who refuse to work.<\/p>\n

Todd Chrisley didn\u2019t work in prison, no matter the consequences<\/h2>\n

During a recent episode<\/a> of the Chrisley Confessions 2.0<\/em> podcast, Todd and Julie Chrisley chatted with guest Kandi Burruss about their experiences in prison.<\/p>\n

As most are aware, the Thirteenth Amendment to the US Constitution outlaws slavery with one abhorrent exception: as punishment for a crime. <\/p>\n

This \u201cExcept Clause\u201d allows states to force prisoners to work, though there is usually token remuneration.<\/p>\n

As it turns out, Todd and Julie had different experiences with prison \u2014 and working in prison. Julie worked. And Todd did not.<\/p>\n
