ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Officials with the Great Allentown Fair have announced that in preparation for the fair, the gates to the fairgrounds will close to traffic starting this Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Great Allentown Fair<\/a> is only a week away from its 2025 edition, which runs from Wednesday, August 27 through Labor Day Monday, September 1.<\/p>\n

Starting this Wednesday, August 20 at 12 a.m., officials say the Allentown Fairgrounds will close its gates to through traffic between Liberty and Chew Streets, the north and south borders of the grounds.<\/p>\n

Officials say guests of the Ritz Barbecue along with Box Office ticket buyers are asked to go to Gate 2 on Chew Street just west of 17th Street to enter onto the fairgrounds.<\/p>\n

The fairgrounds will offer parking through Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Tickets to the fair\u2019s Grandstand shows, advance discount tickets for all day ride wristbands, and half-price fair admission tickets will be available at the Fair Box Office located on the fairgrounds between the Ritz Barbecue and the Grandstand concert venue, according to fair officials.<\/p>\n

Box Office hours are 12-4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday this week. Officials say extended hours begin on Saturday and Sunday 12-3 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, 12-6 p.m.<\/p>\n

Officials say on Wednesday, Opening Night August 27, Box Office hours will be 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. and will remain open throughout fair week from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. Labor Day Monday hours are 12 p.m. \u2013 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
