Jay Cutler<\/strong><\/a> isn\u2019t thrilled with his ex-wife Kristin Cavallari<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s recent comments regarding her finances.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s think about this logically. \u2018Not a penny,\u2019 OK. Married for, I don\u2019t know, seven years or so, three kids,\u201d Cutler, 42, said during a recent episode of his \u201cTake It Outside\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cYou can go and see how much I made in the NFL. It\u2019s online. You can see the contract from year to year and the total amount at the end of 12 years. So, you go to divorce and each side gets a lawyer and then you go to court and there\u2019s a judge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cutler said that there\u2019s \u201cnot a judge in the state of Tennessee\u201d that would have signed an agreement stating that Cutler would \u201ckeep every single dollar\u201d he made throughout their marriage.<\/p>\n

Cutler \u2014 who was once the highest paid quarterback in the NFL when he signed a seven-year, $126 million contract with the Chicago Bears\u2014 and Cavallari, 38, announced their split in 2020 and their divorce was finalized<\/a> two years later. They share three kids<\/a>, Camden, 13, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9. The financial details of their divorce paperwork has not been made public.<\/p>\n

The former NFL player, 41, sold his house in an all-cash sale on Wednesday, July 31, for $7.9 million, according to a report from TMZ. Cutler previously listed the home for $11 million in 2023. Cutler was seemingly reacting to comments Cavallari made during a June episode of her podcast when addressing the funding of her lifestyle brand<\/a>, Uncommon James. Cavallari stated that she is \u201c100 percent\u201d the company\u2019s owner, \u201cnever\u201d took outside funding and Cutler did not have anything to do with its creation. (Cavallari claimed that Uncommon James makes \u201cclose to $50 million a year\u201d in revenue.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI have never gotten a penny from my ex-husband,\u201d she added. \u201cI didn\u2019t get any money from our divorce, so let\u2019s just clear that up. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cutler subtly addressed Uncommon James<\/a> during his rant during the August 15 podcast episode, claiming it was a \u201cmarital asset\u201d because Cavallari funded the company during their marriage. He also called Cavallari\u2019s comments \u201cirresponsible\u201d and noted that the Laguna Beach<\/em><\/a> alum \u201cdidn\u2019t get a penny,\u201d rather got \u201ca lot of bills\u201d during the divorce.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s reckless. I think it\u2019s borderline slander to insinuate that there was zero dollars split during the marriage that each side got,\u201d he added. \u201cIt\u2019s insanity. It\u2019s completely false, completely untrue. It is, it just is. I\u2019ve got a divorce decree. I\u2019ve got something that\u2019s signed by the judge \u2014 it\u2019s, like, 67 pages \u2014 it says the number breakdown.\u201d<\/p>\n
