Jimmy Kimmel<\/strong> has been trash-talking his faux nemesis, Matt Damon<\/strong>, for 20 years \u2014 which is why he panicked when the A-lister, 54, had a near-death experience at his home.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe started choking on pork rib,\u201d Kimmel, 57, told Variety<\/a><\/em> on August 18. \u201cI said, \u2018We have got to get him to the hospital,\u2019 because if he dies in my house, I\u2019m going to prison for the rest of my life. I will never be able to explain this as anything other than a murder.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead, Kimmel and his guests handled the Oppenheimer<\/em> star\u2019s emergency by trying the Heimlich maneuver \u201cmany times,\u201d but the rib was stuck \u201ctoo far down\u201d Damon\u2019s throat.<\/p>\n

After searching the internet for answers, \u201cwe finally concluded that eating little bits of bread was the way to get that rib to work its way down into his stomach,\u201d explained Kimmel. \u201cBread saved him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair\u2019s famous \u201cfeud\u201d dates back to 2005, when the talk show host announced at the end of Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em><\/a>, \u201c\u2019Apologies to Matt Damon, but we ran out of time,\u201d even though Damon hadn\u2019t been booked on the show.<\/p>\n
