Justin Baldoni<\/strong><\/a> has denied It Ends With Us<\/em><\/a> costar Isabela Ferrer<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s harassment claims following his subpoena request.<\/p>\n

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly<\/em> on Tuesday, August 19, Baldoni\u2019s legal team wrote a response to Ferrer\u2019s formal opposition to being subpoenaed. In the letter to Judge Lewis J. Liman<\/strong>, Baldoni\u2019s lawyer argued that Blake Lively<\/strong> issued a subpoena against Ferrer first, which occurred back in February. Lively\u2019s request was accepted by Ferrer\u2019s attorney, per the docs.<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s team claimed that they followed suit with their own subpoena for Ferrer, 24, to obtain \u201cdocuments that she either neglected to produce or were not requested\u201d by Lively\u2019s team. According to the letter, Baldoni\u2019s team requested the information from Ferrer\u2019s lawyer \u201ctwice\u201d \u2014 requests they claim were \u201cignored.\u201d<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s lawyers also explained that they did not reach out to Ferrer\u2019s talent agent because they believed that her attorney was the \u201cappropriate person with whom to communicate\u201d regarding the subpoena.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIt Ends With Us star Isabela Ferrer is fighting back at Justin Baldoni\u2019s subpoena request, claiming the director and costar is \u201charassing\u201d her. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Monday, August 18, Ferrer\u2019s legal team claims Baldoni\u2019s subpoena and subsequent motion are \u201ctransparent efforts to exert pressure on Ms. Ferrer.\u201d The actress, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They also denied Ferrer\u2019s harassment allegations, arguing that they were not the first party to subpoena the actress in the case. Baldoni\u2019s team requested that their motion to serve Ferrer be granted.<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s response comes after Ferrer accused Baldoni of harassing her via subpoena<\/a> and requested the court deny the motion. Ferrer worked alongside Baldoni, 41, and Lively, 37, in the 2024 Colleen Hoover adaptation<\/a>, portraying the younger version of Lively\u2019s character. Baldoni previously claimed that Ferrer was on the set of It Ends With Us<\/em> and is a material witness in his ongoing litigation against Lively.<\/p>\n

Lively and Baldoni\u2019s legal drama<\/a> began in December 2024, after the actress accused her costar and director of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment and creating a smear campaign against her. Baldoni vehemently denied the allegations and subsequently sued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds<\/strong> and publicist Leslie Sloane<\/strong> for alleged defamation and extortion. Lively, Reynolds and Sloane denied the allegations and filed to have the lawsuit dismissed. In June, the judge dismissed Baldoni\u2019s lawsuit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Court dismissed the frivolous $400 million Baldoni-Wayfarer lawsuit in its entirety. In the days that followed, Baldoni\u2019s lawyer said the judge\u2019s decision to dismiss their case was not a big deal as they promised to amend and refile it,\u201d Lively\u2019s lawyers said in a statement to Us at the time. \u201cAs per usual, that was not true. The Court\u2019s dismissal of Baldoni\u2019s sham lawsuit was a total victory after all.\u201d<\/p>\n
