Justin Baldoni<\/strong>\u2019s lawyers responded to Isabela Ferrer<\/strong>\u2019s claims that he \u201charassed her\u201d with his attempts to subpoena her in his ongoing legal fight involving Blake Lively<\/strong> and It Ends With Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe write in response to Isabela Ferrer\u2019s opposition to the Wayfarer Parties\u2019 motion to serve her by alternative means,\u201d Baldoni\u2019s legal team wrote in a letter on Monday, August 18, to Judge Lewis J. Liman<\/strong>, per E! News<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThe opposition is primarily an inappropriate attack upon Mr. Baldoni and his counsel\u2026 and irrelevant to whether Ms. Ferrer should be served via alternative means.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the outlet, the letter further claimed that Lively\u2019s counsel subpoenaed Ferrer, 24, \u201cfirst\u201d in February and her lawyer, Sanford Michelman<\/strong>, accepted the subpoena on her behalf.<\/p>\n Baldoni\u2019s team argued that Lively, 37, \u201cshould not be permitted to obtain discovery from Ms. Ferrer, while Ms. Ferrer and her counsel frustrate all effort by the Wayfarer Parties to obtain the discovery critical to the preparation of their defense.\u201d<\/p>\n Ferrer, who played the younger version of Lively\u2019s character, Lily Bloom, in It Ends With Us<\/em>, previously accused Baldoni of trying to \u201cmanipulate, threaten, control and otherwise act inappropriately\u201d towards her.<\/p>\n \u201cUnfortunately, the Motion is just the latest in a broader pattern of conduct by Baldoni to bully Ms. Ferrer,\u201d Ferrer\u2019s attorneys stated in court documents obtained by Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> on August 18. \u201cWhile Ms. Ferrer will faithfully comply with her legal obligations under any subpoena, summons or court order, she obviously will not be intimidated or extorted by any party to otherwise participate in the proceedings.\u201d<\/p>\n The former Gossip Girl<\/em> star and Baldoni\u2019s legal battle began in December 2024 after Lively claimed that Baldoni had sexually harassed her on the set of It Ends With Us<\/em> and then allegedly organized a smear campaign against her online in retaliation. Baldoni filed a countersuit against Lively for the claims, but it was dismissed by a judge in June<\/a>.
