Can you tell us about your new single, \u201cWho Cares If I\u2019m Alone\u201d?<\/p>\n
This song was written from the perspective of being in something that\u2019s not good for you\u2014and choosing not to let it hold you back from your dreams and goals, even if that means facing loneliness. In fact, we\u2019ve both found ourselves having to stand alone many times on our journey to find love and purpose. We survived it!<\/p>\n
What inspired the song, and what does it mean to you?<\/strong><\/p>\n The desire to reach our destiny on our own\u2014and to be a clarion call to anyone who feels weak, tired, abused, or lonely\u2014is the inspiration behind this song. It carries a powerful message: encourage yourself through the pain, and declare, \u201cI\u2019m not staying here\u2014I\u2019m moving toward the best I haven\u2019t seen yet.\u201d Whenever we sit down to write a song, our mindset is always, something that brings hope.\u201d<\/p>\n Is there a particular lyric in \u201cWho Cares If I\u2019m Alone\u201d that holds special significance for you?<\/p>\n (Jana): \u201cI\u2019ve gotta find my way, a place that\u2019s all my own.\u201d<\/p>\n (Jacy): \u201cI\u2019m better on my own.\u201d That\u2019s the line I sing\u2014the echo in the bridge.<\/p>\n What makes it stand out?<\/p>\n (Jana): So many people fear being alone. We believe it brings the weight and seriousness needed to support the overarching message behind our music. It\u2019s about meeting people right where they are\u2014in the heart of their struggles\u2014and saying, \u201cCome with us.\u201d It\u2019s about offering hope and reminding them that things will get better, even great, if they keep moving toward their destined place. We hope this song pulls people out of abusive, toxic, sad, or stagnant places in their lives. We hope it gives them the strength to keep going, and the faith to trust that God has brighter days and the right relationships ahead\u2014if they just keep moving and refuse to stay down.
