Kristin Davis is recalling once being \u201cset up\u201d with Matthew Perry years before his death. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The \u201cAnd Just Like That\u2026\u201d actor, 60, recalled on Monday\u2019s episode of her \u201cAre You a Charlotte?\u201d podcast<\/a> that an attorney friend of hers arranged for her to meet the late \u201cFriends\u201d actor, who died in 2023, at a \u201clow-key\u201d dinner party in the late \u201990s. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Perry famously starred as Chandler Bing on \u201cFriends\u201d from 1994 to 2004. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cSo I go to this dinner party, I bring my little flowers,\u201d Davis told guest Brian Van Holt. \u201cYou know, it\u2019s a bunch of Hollywood people. I don\u2019t even know who all was there other than this lawyer and Matthew.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Though she didn\u2019t specify exactly when the date with Perry took place, Davis explained that it happened between when she starred in \u201cMelrose Place\u201d from 1995 to 1996, and \u201cSex and the City,\u201d which aired from 1998 to 2004. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The pair ultimately never formed a romantic relationship following their date, but Davis gushed over how \u201clovely\u201d Perry was. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cHe sits next to me, and he\u2019s talking about how thrilled he is, how happy they are on the set at \u2018Friends,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cI was like, \u2018Wow, he\u2019s so happy.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Davis went on to admit that Perry\u2019s cheerful demeanor about his acting career, which was at its height at the time, was a stark difference from her own experience filming \u201cMelrose Place.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI had been around \u2018Melrose,\u2019 and it wasn\u2019t the happiest place in a way,\u201d Davis said. \u201cIt was stressy. There were 15 series regulars. Everyone had the feeling they might get cut. It was kind of competitive and stressy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cSo I was like, \u2018Wow, that\u2019s amazing, you\u2019re so happy,\u2019\u201d she added of Perry.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Perry, who struggled with alcoholism and opioid addiction for years, was found dead in a jacuzzi at his Los Angeles-area home on Oct. 28, 2023.
