TYLER, Texas (KETK<\/a>) \u2014 Tommi Jo, an East Texas songwriter, is set to release her first album titled \u201cFairy Tales,\u201d inspired by her journey through music and personal loss.<\/p>\n

Growing up in a musical family, Tommi Jo was surrounded by music, which fueled her passion for songwriting. Despite setbacks in her career, she found renewed inspiration after the passing of her father in August 2022, leading her to write the song \u2018Neverland.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a songwriter at heart; that is my true passion out of everything I do,\u201d Tommi Jo said, reflecting on her lifelong dedication to music.<\/p>\n

Tommi Jo\u2019s early exposure to music came from her family, who all played and encouraged her love of music. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of noise in my house, growing up,\u201d she recalled, which led her to write her first song.<\/p>\n

In high school, fellow songwriter John Da-Four played a significant role in her development as a musician, giving her weekly songwriting assignments and encouraging her craft.<\/p>\n

After graduating with a music business degree in 2016, Tommi Jo faced challenges in the music industry, leading to a period of complacency and doubt about her career path.<\/p>\n
