data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">set to become Minnesota&#8217;s largest outdoor music venue<\/a><\/span>\u00a0officially has a name.<\/p>\n<p>During an event held on Tuesday morning, state and local leaders announced the 19,000-seat Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee is set to open in the summer of 2026 with a slate of 30 events scheduled.<\/p>\n<p>In all, Live Nation Entertainment and Mystic Lake \u2014 the latter owned and operated by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community \u2014 expect an annual economic impact of more than $130 million, as well as 700 permanent jobs.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"embed embed--type-image is-image embed--float-none embed--size-original\">\n<p>      <span class=\"img embed__content\"><img decoding=\"async\" acres of\u00a0<span class=\"link\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/minnesota\/news\/canterbury-park-sells-land-in-shakopee-for-19000-seat-amphitheater\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">land purchased from Canterbury Park<\/a><\/span>, and last year promised visitors &#8220;breathtaking 360-degree views of the Minnesota River Valley,&#8221; along with &#8220;expansive hangout spaces both indoors and outside&#8221; and &#8220;full season packages in luxury suites and boxes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Swervo also said the amphitheater will also serve as the &#8220;anchor tenant&#8221; to the $400 million Canterbury Commons project.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to new legislation, parts of Shakopee \u2014 including Canterbury and downtown \u2014 will become\u00a0<span class=\"link\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/minnesota\/news\/downtown-stillwater-sip-and-stroll-social-district\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">a social district<\/a><\/span>\u00a0starting next month, meaning folks can stroll around while sipping alcoholic beverages. \u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"embed
