After watching Netflix\u2019s recent docuseries Fit for TV: The Reality of the Biggest Loser<\/em><\/a>, Rosie O\u2019Donnell<\/a> took to social media to share some thoughts, including calling out Jay Leno<\/a> and series coach Bob Harper<\/a>.<\/p>\n The three-part docuseries details the rise and fall of The Biggest Loser<\/em>, the weight loss competition show that originally aired on NBC from 2004 to 2016, including the show\u2019s various controversies and missteps, as well as the treatment contestants suffered both on and off screen.<\/p>\n Not only did contestants describe the hardships they faced on the show itself, but also the harassment they experienced as guests on late-night talk shows. In particular, Biggest Loser<\/em> Season 2 contestant Tracey Yukich recalled the time she appeared on The Tonight Show<\/em><\/a> and Leno read her death threats aloud to the audience.<\/p>\n O\u2019Donnell, who hosted her own daytime talk show between 1996 and 2002, where she gained the nickname \u201cthe Queen of Nice,\u201d took to her Instagram page on Tuesday (August 19), sharing a screenshot of Yukich from the Netflix doc.<\/p>\n \u201cJay Leno is a mean a****** #biggestloserdocumentary,\u201d she wrote in the post\u2019s caption.<\/p>\n In an earlier post, the A League of Their Own<\/em><\/a> star called out Harper, who served as a trainer on The Biggest Loser<\/em>. \u201cOk now bob harper \u2013 can u not say IM SORRY \u2013 seriously- so hurtful- so cruel \u2013 come on bob \u2013 #biggestLOSERdoc @netflixuk,\u201d O\u2019Donnell wrote alongside more screenshots from the docuseries.<\/p>\n Harper is interviewed in the Netflix doc, where he said he had no regrets about his time on the show.<\/p>\n \u201cAlways remember we were trying to make an\u00a0entertaining\u00a0show,\u201d he said, per People<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWhat\u2019s more important for weight loss? We all know it\u2019s diet but that becomes boring television. You know what\u2019s not boring television? To see us in a gym yelling, screaming\u2026 and producers loved that s***. They were like, \u2018We want them to puke! We want the madness of it all!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Harper did confess there were moments he wasn\u2019t proud of, specifically yelling at Season 7 contestant Joelle Gwynn, but noted, \u201c[I] will stand behind everything that I\u2019ve ever done on that show,\u201d adding that he \u201cwould never put anyone in harm\u2019s way.\u201d<\/p>\n
