Rosie O\u2019Donnell<\/strong><\/a> has some choice words for former late night host Jay Leno<\/strong><\/a> after watching Netflix\u2019s documentary Fit for TV: The Reality of the Biggest Loser<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cJay Leno is a mean a**hole #biggestloserdocumentary,\u201d O\u2019Donnell, 63, captioned an Instagram post<\/a> on Tuesday, August 19, sharing a photo of former Biggest Loser contestant Tracey Yukich<\/strong> from the newly released series.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Donnell was seemingly referring to the part of the documentary where Yukich was shown on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno<\/em> after her appearance on The Biggest Loser<\/em><\/a> season 8 in 2009. Leno, now 75, read death threats Yukich had received live on the show.<\/p>\n

Fit for TV: The Reality of the Biggest Loser<\/em> has been making headlines<\/a> since it premiered via Netflix on Friday, August 15. Former contestants sat down for the three-part documentary and detailed their alleged negative experiences on The Biggest Loser<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Biggest Loser<\/em> aired on NBC for 17 seasons from 2004 to 2016. The show returned for one final season in 2020, which aired on the USA Network.<\/p>\n

Aside from her experience on The Tonight Show<\/em>, Yukich also claimed that she nearly \u201cdied\u201d after her first Biggest Loser<\/em> challenge, which required her to run a mile on the beach.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my head, I\u2019m like, \u2018I can run, I\u2019ve got four kids,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201c\u2018I\u2019m running after them all the time.\u2019 But it was the longest mile ever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the challenge, Yukich experienced a medical emergency.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t remember a lot,\u201d she added. \u201cI remember hearing the helicopter. I just felt like I was floating. And then my grandpa was there. And then I saw darkness. But then I saw light. So I knew, I knew I died that day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Biggest Loser became a cultural phenomenon when it premiered in 2004 \u2014 but the show has been plagued with scandals and controversy as well. When NBC introduced the show, it followed a group of people deemed overweight who would compete in a 30-week competition. The goal was to lose as many pounds as possible [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Yukich claimed her body started to \u201cshut down.\u201d She was later diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis, a rare and life-threatening condition where the muscles start to break down after excessive exercise, per the Cleveland Clinic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt started with my liver, then it was in my kidneys and then it goes to your heart,\u201d she recalled. \u201cAnd that\u2019s where I almost died.\u201d<\/p>\n
