Latin music icon DY<\/a> is officially back.<\/p>\n After announcing his retirement in 2022, the Puerto Rican superstar (formerly known as Daddy Yankee) will make his triumphant return to the stage at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Week. The coveted event is slated to run Oct. 20\u201324 and take place at the Fillmore Miami Beach.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n Set to star on \u201cThe Power of Reinvention\u201d panel, the billion-stream hitmaker will open up about his \u201clegendary career, the evolution of his artistry, and how he is shaping his next chapter,\u201d says the press release.<\/p>\n \u201cBillboard Latin Music Week has always been where history is written. In 2006, DY was the Star Q&A at the Billboard Latin Music Conference, and the first reggaeton artist on our cover. Now, his return marks another defining chapter in our story,\u201d said Leila Cobo,\u00a0Billboard<\/em>\u2019s Chief Content Officer for Latin and Espa\u00f1ol, in a press release. \u201cHis journey of reinvention is not only inspiring but deeply relevant for today\u2019s generation of artists and fans alike.\u201d<\/p>\n The announcement comes hot on the heels of DY\u2019s latest single and music video\u201dSonr\u00edele,\u201d a joyous summer anthem under HYBE Latin America. \u201cThis isn\u2019t about a comeback. It\u2019s about connection,\u201d DY said about the song <\/a>when it released in July. \u201cLife\u2019s not perfect, but we have to smile through it. This song was born from what we live every day \u2014 it\u2019s my way of telling people not to give up, to appreciate the little things and never let anyone take their joy away.\u201d<\/p>\n Billboard Latin Music Week 2025 promises unparalleled access to top artists, with a lineup featuring Anuel AA, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Ozuna, Myke Towers, Laura Pausini, Car\u00edn Le\u00f3n, Silvana Estrada, Pablo Albor\u00e1n, Ela Taubert, Goyo, Kapo, Luis R.
