University of Idaho murderer Bryan Kohberger<\/strong><\/a> had visible injuries, including bruised knuckles, weeks after he killed four college students in Moscow, Idaho, according to his classmates.<\/p>\n

Newly unsealed police documents detail how Kohberger\u2019s classmates in a graduate criminal justice course at Washington State University described his appearance and demeanor in the weeks after the slayings on November 13, 2022<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the documents released by the Idaho State Police, the Moscow Police Department and the Pullman Police Department in Washington and obtained by People<\/em><\/a>, one female classmate described Kohberger returning to class after the 2022 Thanksgiving break with \u201ccuts on his hands\u201d that were \u201csimilar to cat scratches.\u201d The classmate told police that he attempted to cover the cuts with bandages.<\/p>\n

Another classmate who sat near Kohberger told police that he had \u201cbruised knuckles,\u201d \u201credness halfway up the back of the left hand from his knuckles\u201d and a \u201ccut on his ring finger\u201d upon returning to class after Thanksgiving, per People<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBryan Kohberger might be behind bars for the rest of his life, but there are still various unanswered questions about why he killed four University of Idaho students. Kohberger broke into the Moscow, Idaho, home at 1122 King Road on November 13, 2022, and stabbed Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Maddie Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The classmate said she asked Kohberger about the cuts and that he responded by claiming he was a boxer.<\/p>\n

Yet another classmate noted that Kohberger still had bloody knuckles in December 2022 and asked whether \u201che had been punching drywall in anger.\u201d Kohberger responded that he was involved in an indoor accident, the classmate told police.<\/p>\n

A male classmate also shared with police that Kohberger had told him he was involved in a car accident. That classmate described seeing scratches on Kohberger\u2019s face and hands.<\/p>\n

According to People<\/em>, multiple classmates also reported seeing Kohberger wearing a puffy jacket to class for the rest of the semester.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDetails of the Idaho University murders have been released after more than two years following Bryan Kohberger\u2019s July 2025 sentencing hearing. More than 300 investigatory records were released via the Moscow Police Department after a previous gag order was lifted. The unsealed records reveal that during his first interview with police in December 2022, Kohberger [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kohberger was arrested on December 30, 2022, six weeks after the murders of University of Idaho students Kaylee Goncalves<\/strong>, Madison Mogen<\/strong>, Xana Kernodle<\/strong> and Ethan Chapin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In early July, the graduate student pleaded guilty<\/a> to four counts of first-degree murder as part of a plea deal to avoid the death penalty. He was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences<\/a> without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 10 years for burglary, during a hearing on July 23.<\/p>\n
