SHEBOYGAN \u2013 Al Jardine and the 10-person Pet Sounds Band will bring a bit of the Beach Boys’ California sun and West Coast feel to the Malibu of the Midwest<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n Well known for being one of the members of the original band, Al, 82, will take the stage of the Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts<\/a>, 826 N. Eighth St., Aug. 22. He will be joined by the former touring band of Brian Wilson, founder of The Beach Boys, who died at age 82<\/a> June 11.<\/p>\n \u201cBrian\u2019s never really left,\u201d Jardine told the Sheboygan Press. \u201cIt\u2019s almost as if he\u2019s here all the time through the music.\u201d<\/p>\n Wilson stopped touring in 2022. Jardine said Wilson listened and gave notes to him and his son, Matthew, who toured with The Beach Boys and Wilson for decades.<\/p>\n The tribute tour will perform hits like \u201cCalifornia Girls,\u201d \u201cWouldn\u2019t It Be Nice\u201d and \u201cGood Vibrations,\u201d as well as deep tracks from \u201cThe Beach Boys Love You,\u201d \u201c15 Big Ones\u201d and \u201cThe M.I.U. Album.\u201d<\/p>\n Jardine said big fans, and new fans, of The Beach Boys will be delighted because selections from those albums haven\u2019t been performed before this tour. They’ve already been performed at stops in Minnesota, Massachusetts and Arizona.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was like an old Beach Boys show,\u201d he said about the show in Massachusetts.
