The Vince Staples Show<\/a> <\/em>is coming back.<\/p>\n The show\u2019s second season is set to premiere on Netflix on Thursday, November 6, with six full episodes. The first season, which dropped in February 2024, saw Vince Staples<\/a> play a fictional version of himself, navigating a relationship, handling generational trauma, bank robbery situations, and of course, industry games. The season 1 finale saw Staples\u2019 character in a cat-and-mouse game with a former classmate, that ended in tragedy.<\/p>\n It appears the second season will pick up right where the first left off.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the wake of a tragic death, Vince embarks on a wild journey in search of inner peace. In the photos, Staples\u2019 character is seen with his mother \u2014 who is played by Vanessa Bell Calloway \u2013 and his girlfriend Deja (Andrea Ellsworth) in a convenience store at night. Another shot sees the three of them driving in a car. One image sees Staples\u2019 character at the end of a dinner table, at some sort of university.<\/p>\n Upon its premiere last year, The Vince Staples Show<\/a> <\/em>received much acclaim for its surrealist storytelling and dark humor. In a May 2024 interview with Rolling Stone<\/a> ahead of his final Def Jam album Dark Times<\/em>, Staples expressed gratitude for the positive reception and the opportunity to create this show.<\/p>\n \u201cI got to do something that isn\u2019t really done on that network or just done in general, with trying to break format and conventional comedy,\u201d Staples said at the time. \u201cI\u2019m just trying some new things.
