Sydney Sweeney<\/strong> is making it clear she\u2019s aware of people\u2019s opinions about her.<\/p>\n

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/a> published on Wednesday, August 20, the 27-year-old Euphoria<\/em> actress \u2014 who faced backlash<\/a> for her recent advertisement with American Eagle \u2014 said, \u201cIt\u2019s important to have a finger on the pulse of what people are saying.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause everything is a conversation with the audience,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n

The outlet also asked if the starlet was \u201cthinking strategically,\u201d to which she replied, \u201cYes, very.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Anyone But You<\/em> star also addressed the criticism<\/a> surrounding her limited-edition soap with Dr. Squatch back in May, which contained her actual bathwater.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was mainly the girls making comments about it, which I thought was really interesting,\u201d she remarked.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey all loved the idea of Jacob Elordi\u2019s<\/strong> bathwater,\u201d Sweeney added, referring to a scene from the film Saltburn,<\/em> where Barry Keogan<\/strong> drinks Elordi\u2019s bathwater.<\/p>\n

As the Enquirer<\/em> previously reported<\/a>, fans alleged Sweeney\u2019s July commercial with American Eagle promoted themes of eugenics and white supremacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cGenes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color,\u201d Sweeney says in the video. \u201cMy jeans are blue.\u201d<\/p>\n
