From a royal family member to a chart-topping rapper, these famous faces have been spotted in Norwich so far this year.<\/p>\n

1. Professor Green<\/h2>\n

Professor Green performed a pop-up gig outside Dick’s Bar\u00a0(Image: Meewee Watson)<\/span><\/h2>\n

Professor Green<\/a> visited the Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre<\/a> on July 13.<\/p>\n

The rapper surprised\u00a0passers-by with a pop-up performance which resulted in around 400 people outside Dick’s Bar in Bedford Street.<\/p>\n

He performed some of his greatest hits, including Read All About It and I Need You Tonight.<\/p>\n

2. Olly Murs<\/h2>\n

Olly Murs was headlining at the Rock N Roll Circus\u00a0(Image: Beth Stimpson)<\/span><\/h2>\n

Singing sensation Olly Murs performed at the new Norwich festival in Earlham Park on August 16.<\/p>\n

With many childhood memories from family trips to Norfolk<\/a>, the star always loves returning to the county for shows.<\/p>\n

As the headliner for the final show of Rock N Roll Circus, Olly Murs led\u00a0crowds in a sing-along frenzy.<\/a><\/p>\n

3. Alex Horne<\/h2>\n

Alex Horne visited Biddy’s Tea Room in March\u00a0(Image: Biddy’s Tea Room)<\/span><\/h2>\n

Television show host and comedian, Alex Horne, was seen enjoying a cup of tea at Biddy’s Tea Room<\/a> this year.<\/p>\n

The 46-year-old was performing at the\u00a0Norwich Theatre Royal<\/a>\u00a0as part of his the Horne\u00a0Section’s Big Show tour this March.<\/p>\n

The comedian\u00a0is best known for co-hosting Taskmaster\u00a0alongside Greg Davies.<\/p>\n

4. Helen Atkinson-Wood<\/h2>\n

The actor\u00a0is best known for her role in Blackadder the Third(Image: St Giles Pantry)<\/span><\/h2>\n

A well-known English actor\u00a0and comedian was seen in the Norwich Lanes this June.<\/a><\/p>\n

St Giles Pantry welcomed Helen Atkinson-Wood into the store.<\/p>\n

She is best known for playing Mrs Miggins in Blackadder the Third, which first aired on the BBC in 1987.<\/p>\n

5. Prince William<\/h2>\n

The pair were visiting the Norwich Research Park in Colney Lane\u00a0(Image: Denise Bradley)<\/span>Prince William and Cate Blanchett<\/a> paid a visit to the to Colorifix –\u00a0a laboratory\u00a0at the Norwich Research Park in Colney Lane in June.<\/p>\n

The company specialises in sustainable dye\u00a0used for clothing, and was a finalist for the Build a Waste Free World\u00a0category at the Earthshot Prize in 2023.<\/p>\n

William founded the award,\u00a0which celebrates\u00a0five companies a year for their\u00a0significant contributions to environmentalism,\u00a0in 2021.<\/p>\n

And\u00a0Blanchett is a Council Member of the Earthshot Prize<\/a>, playing a\u00a0“crucial role”\u00a0in selecting the annual winners as well as finalists, such a\u00a0Colorfix.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
