Pictures co-chairmen and CEOs Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy confirmed in the spring that \u201cA Minecraft Movie\u201d sequel was being developed \u201cimminently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ink might not be dry on the deals yet, but imminently,\u201d De Luca confirmed <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/04\/warner-bros-mike-de-luca-pam-abdy-courage-in-face-of-brutal-press-coverage-1236366618\/\">to Deadline<\/a> in April 2025, reminding fans that the \u201ccreative process\u201d could take time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe project was here for 12 years, and had trouble getting made,\u201d De Luca said. \u201cI think Pam and I did our jobs well, recognizing that it should be fast-tracked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Jesse Ehrman is an unsung hero here. That should be hung from the rafters, how he kept this thing alive for those 12 years, through multiple regimes. That is hard to do,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cA Minecraft Movie\u201d became the highest-grossing film domestically in 2025, according to Forbes. <span class=\"credit\">AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>De Luca continued praising Ehrman, the President of Production and Development at Warner Bros.
