JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) \u2013 A country music artist and SiriusXM radio host is playing in Johnson City this weekend at a legendary local venue.<\/p>\n

Sunny Sweeney is bringing her blend of old-school country to The Down Home on Saturday, Aug. 23.<\/p>\n

She will be performing songs from her new album, Rhinestone Requiem.<\/p>\n

When she\u2019s not on tour, Sweeney hosts shows on SiriusXM\u2019s Outlaw Country and Willie\u2019s Roadhouse.<\/p>\n

The Saturday show is from 8-11 p.m.<\/p>\n

Sweeney joined Good Morning Tri-Cities via Zoom to talk about playing in a region that means so much to the history of country music.<\/p>\n
