Andy Samberg is paying tribute\u2014in his own way\u2014to Seth Meyers\u2019 beloved dog, Frisbee.<\/p>\n

The 47-year-old Brooklyn Nine-Nine star reshared a Vulture<\/a>headline on his Instagram Story<\/a> that read: \u201cFrisbee, Seth Meyers\u2019s Dog and Andy Samberg\u2019s Nemesis, Dead at 14.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post came after Meyers, 51, announced on Tuesday, August 19, that his family\u2019s Italian greyhound had died. The Late Night host shared a carousel of photos<\/a> on Instagram, writing, \u201cRIP to Frisbee, our OG IG who I was happy to go grey with. She was at her best curled in your lap and patient when we dressed her up like a pilgrim. Thanks for 14 amazing years, girl.”<\/p>\n

Meyers shares three kids\u2014Ashe, 9, Axel, 7, and Adelaide, 3\u2014with wife Alexi Ashe, whom he married in 2013. Frisbee was already part of the picture by then, even making her way into Meyers\u2019 proposal to Alexi.<\/p>\n

Celebrity friends quickly filled the comments. Amy Poehler wrote, \u201cFrisbee forever \ud83e\udd4f.\u201d Rachel Dratch added, \u201cNoooo! Frisbeeee! sorry for your loss.\u2764\ufe0f.\u201d Kenan Thompson chimed in with, \u201cOh nooooo!!! So sorry buddy!!! \u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f.\u201d Sarah Paulson, Ike Barinholtz, and Adam Pally also weighed in.<\/p>\n

Fans left their condolences too, but plenty zeroed in on Frisbee\u2019s legendary feud with Samberg.<\/p>\n

\u201cMay her ghost haunt Andy Samberg forever \ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffb\u2665\ufe0f,\u201d one commenter quipped.<\/p>\n

\u201cOut loud went \u2018Nooo\u2019 and then \u2018oh Andy must be so happy,\u2019\u201d another said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo sorry for your loss! \u2764\ufe0f May Andy never know peace again,\u201d chimed in a third.<\/p>\n

The jokes about Samberg\u2019s \u201chatred\u201d for Frisbee go back years. In a Late Night Q&A<\/a>, Meyers revealed Samberg hadn\u2019t liked the pup \u201csince she was little,\u201d even recalling how he once scratched her face out of the family Christmas card \u201clike a serial killer\u201d and mailed it back.<\/p>\n

During another Late Night<\/a> segment via video chat in 2020, Meyers brought up one of his Instagram posts of Frisbee to Samberg. The Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor admitted that when he first saw the photo, \u201cthere was a moment where I was, like, \u2018Oh, yes!\u2019 Because in the picture, it almost looks like Frisbee is dead, you know?\u201d He added that the thought of Frisbee dying \u201cwas jubilation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meyers then held Frisbee up to the camera, but she turned away. \u201cLook how much she hates you. She hates you so much,\u201d Meyers laughed. Samberg tried to play nice\u2014\u201cFrisbee, I just want to say, it\u2019s all in good fun, you\u2019re a good dog\u201d\u2014before flashing a sticky note that revealed his real opinion: \u201cFrisbee sucks.\u201d<\/p>\n

The gag didn\u2019t end there. In March 2023, Samberg doubled down while guest-hosting a parody segment called \u201cA Grosser Look.\u201d He used the airtime to roast Frisbee as \u201cSeth\u2019s nightmare-inducing hellspawn\u201d and \u201cthe worst greyhound since the bus,\u201d cementing the feud as an ongoing bit.<\/p>\n
