The forecast for The Pitt\u2019<\/em>s 4th of July-themed sophomore run calls for fireworks \u2014 and lots of them \u2014 as the prodigal son returns to Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.<\/p>\n HBO Max has released the first trailer for Season 2 of the TCA Award-winning medical drama<\/a>, which previews Dr. Frank Langdon\u2019s first day back at PTMC following a stint in rehab. And the whole gang\u2019s here \u2014 McKay, Javadi, Mohan, Whitaker and Santos, and charge nurse Dana \u2014 to potentially witness all hell break loose once Robby and Langdon cross paths.<\/p>\n More from TVLine<\/strong><\/p>\n When Season 2 begins, we find out that it\u2019s Robby\u2019s last day before he embarks on a three-month sabbatical, and he was \u201creally hoping not to see [Langdon] today \u2014 but something got screwed up in the scheduling, so they ended up overlapping,\u201d series star\/executive producer Noah Wyle previously disclosed to Vanity Fair<\/a><\/em>. \u201cLangdon has walked the penitent road, and he has done everything he needs to do to keep his medical license in check. He\u2019s going to face his colleagues, who may or may not know that he had an addiction problem. All of that is very commendable. But there\u2019s a personal betrayal that Robby feels that is going to be even harder for him to get up and over on the other side of.\u201d<\/p>\n The teaser trailer also offers quick glimpses of another intense shift in the emergency department \u2014 and not just due to personnel drama. We see a combative patient in the back of an ambulance, and a pair of police officers chasing after someone by the nurses\u2019 station. Those quick flashes culminate in our first look at new attending Dr. Al-Hashimi (played by The L Word: Generation Q\u2019<\/em>s Sepideh Moafi), and a new med student (La\u00ebtitia Hollard) who asks, \u201cYou guys do this every day?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIf we\u2019re lucky,\u201d Santos replies.<\/p>\n
