Online<\/a><\/p>\n The lights have officially dimmed on Tom Sandoval<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s time on America\u2019s Got Talent<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n The Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras<\/strong> frontman and his band were eliminated from the show on Aug. 20.<\/p>\n The Vanderpump Rules <\/em>alum, 43, and his cover band found out their fate once it came down to two groups battling it out for their place in the semifinals. However, after host Terry Crews<\/strong> did not announce their names, Tom and his band quickly exited the stage.<\/p>\n The results show came after the band performed a cover of The Weeknd<\/strong>\u2019s hit \u201cBlinding Lights\u201d Aug. 19 and earned mixed reviews<\/a>\u2014and a buzzer smash\u2014from the judges.<\/p>\n Sof\u00eda Vergara<\/strong><\/a> had high praise for the act\u2014which made their debut in June<\/a>\u2014focusing more on the entertainment aspect.<\/p>\n \u201cI love the dancing,\u201d the Modern Family<\/em> alum said. \u201cI love the band, the song. The sound was not amazing, but this was super entertaining.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI like Tom and I like the band,\u201d Simon Cowell<\/strong> said during the episode. \u201cHowever, you\u2019re judging this performance, and it didn\u2019t sound great. It didn\u2019t. It might just be me from where I sat but it didn\u2019t sound good, I\u2019m afraid.\u201d<\/p>\n More from E! Online<\/strong><\/p>\n Mel B <\/strong>echoed Sof\u00eda\u2019s sentiments adding, \u201cYou bring a little bit of happiness and the way that you commit is flawless. Those moves brother, comma they\u2019re lit.\u201d<\/p>\n And despite Simon\u2019s concerns, Howie Mandel<\/strong> saw a bright future for the band.<\/p>\n \u201cI think people who are watching will want you to play their weddings,\u201d he said. \u201cTheir parties, their clubs. You’re good people having a fun time and that\u2019s what this show is all about.\u201d<\/p>\n
