Love Is Blind UK <\/i><\/a>season 2 star Demola Ayilara<\/strong> has an unexpected connection to former Bachelorette <\/i>winner Dotun Olubeko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor those asking, yes, he\u2019s my cousin,\u201d Dotun, 32, wrote via his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, August 20, detailing how he was \u201csat\u201d to find out whether Demola, 31, found lasting love in the pods. \u201c[We] met later in life due to living in different counties, but clicked right off the bat.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cNeither of us ever considered or seeked reality TV, but it found us both independently. Crazyyy how life happens.\u201d<\/p>\n

Demola, for his part, revealed via his Instagram Stories that he initially met Dotun<\/a> several years ago.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAfter the finale of season 21 of The Bachelorette ended with Jenn Tran\u2019s broken engagement, fans are looking to season 20 couple Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko as the spinoff\u2019s reigning love story. And while the twosome are still going strong, they aren\u2019t rushing down the aisle. \u201cWe\u2019ve taken a pause on it and I\u2019m [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cDotun is my long-lost cousin, who I met for the first time in my late teens,\u201d Demola wrote on Wednesday. \u201cEver since then, we\u2019ve been solid [and] had many adventures together. He\u2019s my guy, and, of course, Charity is his beautiful missus. I love them both.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Dotun met now-fianc\u00e9e Charity Lawson<\/strong><\/a> on season 20 of The Bachelorette, <\/i>Demola recently joined Love Is Blind <\/i>across the pond. Throughout the first batch of episodes, Demola was all-in on Katisha Atkinson<\/strong>, who was also interested in contestant Javen Palmer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Despite Katisha, 31, proclaiming to Demola that she wanted to get engaged to him, she changed her mind at the last minute and accepted Javen\u2019s proposal. In the latest batch of Love Is Blind<\/i> episodes<\/a>, Katisha reunited with Demola after leaving the pods.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a surprise \u2018cause I walked in thinking, \u2018This is the moment,\u2019\u201d he said in the footage, recalling their breakup scene. \u201cThis [was] who I saw potentially being my future wife. I wrote a proposal [speech], and just the opposite happened. It was a big shock at the time. I just felt a little bit blindsided.\u201d<\/p>\n

Katisha, for her part, explained that she had been \u201cteetering\u201d between Demola and Javen, 28, throughout the experiment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just wasn\u2019t quite there [with you],\u201d she told him. \u201cI just felt, like, with Javen, the connection was stronger with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite a strong pull to Javen, Katisha started to have doubts after hearing about his alleged behavior<\/a> on a night out. Other cast members claimed that Javen kept flirting with other women and acted like he was single when Katisha was not around. While Javen denied the accusations, Katisha still called off their engagement. It\u2019s currently unknown whether Katisha and Demola will reconcile after her breakup.<\/p>\n

Dotun, 32, posted a carousel of photos and videos of the couple via his Instagram account on Monday, February 17, in a belated Valentine\u2019s Day celebration. \u201cThey say love is patient and kind, but true [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
