The gig is set to take place at The Grand Social in Dublin next month<\/p>\n
A new Irish-language music event will take place in Dublin next month, showcasing the next generation of artists performing as Gaeilge.<\/p>\n
Gl\u00f3r \u00c1r Linne<\/a>, organised by Raidi\u00f3 R\u00ed-R\u00e1 with support from Creative Ireland and Dublin City Council, will be held at The Grand Social<\/a> on Wednesday, September 17.<\/p>\n The gig marks the first anniversary of the initiative, which mentors emerging Irish-language musicians.<\/p>\n The line-up features Aisling Moran<\/a>, Jessie and the Veil<\/a>, Earthmover<\/a>, Little Kings<\/a>, \u00c9ire agus Chulainn <\/a>and Lisa Murray<\/a>, covering genres from trad and folk to pop and post-punk.<\/p>\n Over the summer, the acts took part in an eight-week programme of workshops and recording sessions covering songwriting, music production, performance and marketing.<\/p>\n Mentors included Sexy Tadhg<\/a>, Megan Nic Ruair\u00ed<\/a> (Bold Love) and Matt \u00d3 Baoill<\/a> (Tebi Rex).<\/p>\n The artists previously played at festivals including F\u00e9ile na Geala\u00ed and Cruinni\u00fa na n\u00d3g, with upcoming performances at Electric Picnic<\/a> as well as a series of Dublin pop-up gigs this month.<\/p>\n Raidi\u00f3 R\u00ed-R\u00e1 station manager Emma N\u00ed Chear\u00fail said the project is about more than music.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of talk about a \u2018language revival\u2019 lately, but it\u2019s more than that \u2013 it\u2019s a cultural revolution.
